How this site makes money, in plain language.
Pots & Soil takes part in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and a handful of smaller affiliate programs, including garden tool makers such as Radius Garden. Some links here are tracked, and if you buy through one I earn a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way.
What the commission does not change
- It does not change the ranking in a review. Products are ordered by how they performed.
- It does not buy a mention. No brand has paid to appear here, and no brand sees a review before it's published.
- It does not stop me saying that something is not worth buying. The comparison tables include options I would not choose myself, with the reason why.
How things get tested
I buy what I test with my own money, and each review says how long I used it and in what conditions, which for me means containers on a paved garden. Where I haven't tested something myself, the page says so and explains what the recommendation is based on instead: manufacturer specs, primary-source guidance, or a reader who uses it daily.
